GENERAL THUMB PISTONS--Use a circle or a triangle around the piston number. A circle becomes an icon representing the shape of most thumb pistons.
LOCAL THUMB PISTONS--Use a circle or a triangle as above, but write the abbreviation of the manual above the piston number.
TOE STUDS--Use the same icon you choose for a thumb piston, but write the word “toe” before the number of the toe stud.
STOPS--Place a rectangular box around stop changes to be made by hand.
ENGAGING AND RETIRING STOPS--Use “+” for adding a stop, and “-” for retiring stops.
