Just Right
If the forward-back positions of your body and the bench are just right, you will notice that:
- you can reach the expression pedals without sliding forward on the bench.
- when your hands and feet are suspended over the keys, you feel supported under your legs, but still have enough room for the feet to pass by each other.
- you can reach the outer ranges of the pedal keys by pivoting, but some stretching may still be required to reach the highest keys.
- the toes fall about an inch behind the pedal sharps when the lower part of the legs are dangling freely at the knee--at about a 90-degree angle.
