Not Quite Right
Here are some problems that may appear if the front-back position of your body or the bench is not quite right, and some likely solutions:
- You have to slide forward, stretch too much, or lean back to balance or to reach the expression pedals. Slide the bench or your body forward.
- You feel unsupported under your legs. Slide the bench forward or your body back.
- Your feet feel “pinned in” when they try to pass by each other. Slide the bench or your body back.
- You have to stretch too much to reach the highest or lowest pedal keys. Slide forward.
- The toes fall more than an inch behind the pedal sharps or into the sharps when the lower legs are dangling freely at the knee--at about a 90-degree angle. Slide forward.
