After positioning yourself correctly along the left-right and up-down axes, consider your position along the forward-back axis. Slide forward on the bench just far enough to enable the right foot to rest flat on the expression (“Swell”) pedal. This is as far forward as you will have to reach.
With the body in the forward position described above, set the bench forward to a position that provides good support for the legs and body. This usually means that about half of your thighs will be supported by the bench.
Whenever you move the bench, be certain that it remains square with the back of the pedalboard.
