Every organist should own a pair of shoes that is set aside for organ playing only. It remains only to decide among several options:

• to purchase a pair of organ shoes (such as “Organmaster” shoes),
• to consider dance shoes,
• or to get by with a less expensive shoe that will meet as many criteria as possible of the ideal organ shoe.

If your feet have stopped growing and you think that you will continue to play the organ, you should consider purchasing a dedicated pair of organ shoes that meets all of the criteria outlined in this lesson.
