Five Characteristics
It is possible to play pedals with various types of shoes. But to encourage good legato pedaling, a primary objective in playing most hymns and much organ literature, organ shoes should have five characteristics:
- Heel.
- Sole.
- Arch.
- Upper.
- Fit.
