This is a standard method of building FULL, rich, and warm chorus-type registrational combinations.

Building outward is a particularly useful way to build upon a more clear combination for a later verse of a congregational hymn (see previous screen). Adding the Great flute chorus to the original principal chorus is one example. Preparing the Swell chorus, and then adding the Swell to Great coupler on one verse is another.
