Page Turning

When performing scores that require a page turn, DECIDE WHICH METHOD you will use to make the page turn:

• Turn the page YOURSELF.
• Use the assistance of a PAGE TURNER.
• PREPARE THE SCORE so that page turns are either avoided completely or so that you can turn the page when a hand is free.

If a page turn needs to happen quickly enough that it causes tension and raises the possibility of problems in performance, it is wise to use a page turner or to prepare the score so that a page turn becomes either unnecessary or easy.
